Umbraco CMS Migration (v7 → v13.9)
Multisite Platform · Veloso Tours
Veloso Tours →Handled the full migration of the Veloso Tours multisite platform, including subdomain sites such as https://www.agents.veloso.com/, upgrading the system from Umbraco 7 to Umbraco 13.9.
Given the lack of a direct upgrade path between Umbraco 7 and 13, I designed and implemented a custom end-to-end migration strategy covering both application code and database-level transformations. This included restructuring legacy content and ensuring compatibility with the modern architecture.
- Migrating a complex multisite CMS setup with shared and site-specific content structures across multiple subdomains.
- Developing custom data transformation scripts to migrate legacy content into Umbraco 13's expected schema and storage formats.
- Refactoring and modernising legacy property editors, most notably replacing Archetype-based nested data structures with the Block List Editor and other modern Umbraco block-based editors.
- Updating and adapting the codebase to align with modern Umbraco (.NET Core) architecture and ecosystem changes.
- Ensuring seamless continuity of production content across all sites during the migration.
The result was a fully modernised, scalable CMS foundation aligned with current Umbraco best practices, while preserving all existing content across a complex multi-site architecture.

Gigiri Courtyard Ordering System
Live Application →Led the design and development of a multi-tenant food ordering and service management platform, accessible via QR code scanning through a React web application.
The platform enables customers to access table-scoped digital menus, place orders across multiple vendors within a shared location, and initiate real-time waiter service requests directly from their devices. The system supports multiple restaurants within a single environment, each with independent menus but sharing a common sitting area.
Developed a companion React Native application for restaurant operators to receive and manage incoming orders and table service calls in real time, leveraging event-driven architecture (Supabase Realtime) for low-latency synchronization between clients.
Designed and implemented an admin interface for centralized management of tenants (restaurants), menu configurations, pricing, and operational settings. Emphasized scalability and maintainability through modular architecture, role-based access control, and clear separation of concerns across frontend and backend services.
